Want to know which magic books to buy? How to get started in magic for beginners? Or perhaps more advanced magic books to extend your knowledge? In this video I share my favorite magic trick books, which I have purchased over the years. I still have more back at home in Texas, but when I really had to narrow it down… THESE are the top 20 magic trick books I chose to pay to have shipped halfway around the world to where I am now. I discuss books that teach easy magic for beginners, as well as more advanced books, and additionally books on magic theory. It’s really a great idea to learn some presentation & magic theory after you have have learned some magic tricks you can actually perform for people. Only then do the lessons on theory make more sense as you read. I mostly focus on card magic tricks, but I do also reference other magic categories as well such as coin magic and mentalism. See below for the list of books… not in the order I presented, but categorized!

When Garrett Thomas introduced THE RING THING at the famous FFFF invitation-only close-up magic convention, some of the top close-up magicians in the world were asking to see it over and over again. Luminaries such as David Blaine, Jeff McBride, Gregory Wilson and many others have asked Garrett to teach them this fabulous impromptu routine. Why? Because it looks like real magic! And now, every detail of THE RING THING can be yours- Garrett Thomas has held nothing back. THE RING THING looks like trick photography . . . but it's not! It's a quick, visual, impromptu miracle that you can do right before their eyes. You pull off your finger ring, toss it back towards your other hand . . . and it visibly appears back on your finger! Garrett doesn't just stop at teaching THE RING THING. This DVD is a post-graduate course in finger ring magic. Of course, effects that can be performed at a moment's notice and with no preparation are some of the most valuable tricks to know and finger rings are everyday objects that are always available. Imagine visibly taking a ring on and off right through your finger! Imagine visibly changing a coin into a ring and then back into a coin again! Imagine causing an invisible ring to really become visible! All of this . . . and much more . . . are revealed in Garrett Thomas' THE RING THING! Running Time Approximately 57min

🔵 Tripod for camera:
🔵 Light Stand:
This light stand is kinda not sturdy enough because the light and soft box are so large; the whole thing can tip over easily. But it’s what I use! 😆 Or you can perhaps find another light stand that is rated to hold more weight. Or just put something heavy (like sandbags) onto the bottom to lower the center of gravity.

Hope you enjoy these videos, and remember to check my channel home page because I created different Playlists to organize the types of videos I make… I’ve got some pretty good tutorials if you wanna learn new.
